About the Writer

Hi there!  My name is Celia.  It's a pleasure to meet you!

First, I'll answer the really pressing questions...

I've traveled to seven countries (Canada, Mexico, France, United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy and Belgium), speak two languages fluently (French and English), and understand bits and pieces of three more (Italian, German, Biblical Greek).

I get atypically excited about baroque theatre, 17th century aristocracy, and bechemel sauce.

I like to eat pastry while walking down the street and love the smell of cigarettes in the cold, because it reminds me of the semester I spent in Paris.

If I had any acting or dancing ability at all, I would run off to New York to become the latest Broadway sensation, but instead I just sing in the car, and occasionally perform Beyonce medleys with my coworkers.

Now that the important stuff is out of the way...

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in French Language and Literature, and a Master's Degree in Church Ministries, both of which cause me to frequently throw around terminology like "post enlightenment", "eschatology," and "deus ex machina."  But as I'm working as a Children's Minister, I also spend a great deal of time singing "Old McDonald" and "Jesus Loves Me" to toddlers.

Two years ago, I moved to the Nashville area - which, though I'm not the biggest country music fan, has been a lovely place to live, along with my calico cat, Minette.  I spend my free time enjoying local theatre, walking around Civil War battlefields, and watching British television on Netflix.  It's possible I own a pair of Tardis earrings.

My passions are writing, cooking, traveling, teaching kids and teens, building relationships with others, and of course, learning as much about the world as I possibly can!
